Nigel Hall

Nigel is a Tech, Media & Telco sector executive & non-executive having been in the industry for over 35 years of his career.

He has led businesses in a variety of C suite executive roles from start-up to mature, corporate business units at Orange, KPMG-McLaren (F1 Automotive), KPMG, Cable & Wireless Worldwide, Telefonica O2, PRS for Music & France Telecom where change, growth & business transformation has been key to the success of the business.

Nigel joined CBNL in October 2019 as Chief Restructuring Officer where he successfully steered the company through a transformational phase where he now continues as the CEO of Cambridge Broadband Networks Group.

Nigel is a Bachelor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering by background, has 3 kids with his wife Jane and loves to fly helicopters when he gets the chance!

William Webb

William has over 30 years’ experience in the telecommunications sector. He was one of the founding directors of Neul, a company developing machine-to-machine technologies and networks, which was formed at the start of 2011 and subsequently sold to Huawei and became CEO of the Weightless SIG, a body standardizing IoT technology. Prior to this William was a Director at Ofcom where he managed a team providing technical advice and performing research. He has worked for a range of communications consultancies and spent three years providing strategic management across Motorola’s entire communications portfolio, based in Chicago. He was IET President 2014-2015.

William has published 17 books, 100 papers, and 18 patents. He is a Visiting Professor at Southampton University, a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the IEEE and the IET. He has been awarded multiple honorary doctorates by the UK’s leading universities and in 2018 was awarded the IET’s prestigious Mountbatten Medal for technology entrepreneurship.

William lives near Cambridge with wife Alison, has two children now at University and is a rather crazy cyclist, completing challenges like the Cent Cols ride covering 100 mountain passes in the Alps in 10 days.

Mark Hanman
VP R&D and Operations

Mark joined CBNL in 2007 and since then has driven multiple product development programmes, transferred manufacturing to China and run the customer support department. Now Mark is responsible for all three areas and is passionate about bringing new mmWave solutions to the 5G FWA market.

Prior to CBNL, Mark held manufacturing and project management roles at Amino Communications, Lynx Printing, Option Wireless and Philips Consumer Communications.

Sue Williams
Finance Director

Sue joined CBNL as Financial Controller in 2010 supporting the CFO until becoming Finance Director in 2019. Prior to this, Sue was with Nokia for 7 years working both centrally in the financial services platform as a Financial Accountant and within a mobile phone business unit as Senior Business Analyst. Sue trained with one of the big four and qualified in 2001. She is an FCCA and has a BSc from the Open University.

When away from the office, Sue enjoys spending time with her family as well as trying to squeeze in a visit to the gym or quick run!

Paul Wright
VP Sales and Customer Operations

Since joining CBNL in 2003, Paul has tried his hand at almost every customer facing job in the company from technical support, training, field service, trials specialist, consulting, design & planning, service delivery through to general management, technical pre-sales consulting and then finally ending up in sales. Paul set up CBNL’s offices in Africa and Asia, led the global services business and has been involved in the delivery of the VectaStar platform into customer networks throughout 3 generations right up to the present-day leap into 5G mmWave FWA.

Paul has been in the telecommunications industry for over 25 years previously working with Ericsson on GSM handset production and Hughes Network Systems as a satellite ground segment integration specialist rolling out earth stations for ICO, Inmarsat and Thuraya.

Paul now leads CBNG’s global sales team and is very keen to help you with the purchase of your new VectaStar network implementation, expansion or upgrade!

Paul has a HND in Electronics and Software Engineering, is Prince2 and ITILv4 certified and is also a Member of the IET and an Incorporated Engineer. He lives in North Yorkshire, married with three children and has a passion for running long distances very slowly.
