VectaStar II named Distinguished Honoree in the Best New Product or Service of the Year for Telecommunications.

Cambridge Broadband Networks has been awarded a Distinguished Honoree medal in Best New Product or Service of the Year in Telecommunications for its VectaStar II solution at the 2010 International Business Awards.

Deployed by major operators worldwide, the VectaStar platform is one of the most mature IP microwave Backhaul solutions for cellular networks, having been deployed as a 3G IP RAN backhaul solution since 2003. VectaStar II enhances the platform to include the backhaul support of the latest and future networks, including LTE.

Offering high performance, VectaStar is quick to implement and offers significant capital and operational savings compared to the legacy microwave solutions, by reducing the number of microwave radios required by nearly 50%.

“As a company, Cambridge Broadband Networks understands the impact the data boom is having on cellular networks. We offer a solution that is quick to deploy, scalable and that helps manage the explosive growth of data on the networks,”

commented Graham Peel, CEO, Cambridge Broadband Networks.

“Being named a distinguished honoree at this year’s International Business Awards, is testament to our continuous development and dedication to the market, and it is an honour to be acknowledged for our achievements in this field.”

The International Business Awards are the only global, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in business.
